Fairline Yachts, has announced its line-up of yachts on show at the Düsseldorf Boat Show.

On display will be the Targa 43 OPEN, which made its worldwide debut at Cannes Boat Show in September, the Squadron 53, launched at Boot Düsseldorf 2017 and the Targa 48 GT.

Visitors to the Fairline stand will also be able to explore a detailed and immersive virtual reality experience of the Targa 63 GTO, Squadron 64 and all new F-Line 33, which is due to launch next year.

Targa 43 OPEN

Designed by Italian superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini, the Targa 43 Open won the ‘Best Exterior Design’ Award in the 46-59 foot category at the prestigious World Yachts Trophies.

The Targa 43 OPEN follows in the footsteps of its larger sister, the Targa 63 GTO. The stylish two cabin cruiser is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS600 engines, the boat offers speeds of up to 34 knots.

Squadron 53

Squadron 53

Launched at Boot Düsseldorf 2017, the Squadron 53, is also designed by Alberto Mancini. The yacht, based on Fairline’s 53ft hull, features a new Mancini design from the deck upwards and boats a spacious main deck from the cockpit to the lower helm, which in turn ensures a generous 6ft 4in headroom at the foot of the large double bed in the mid-master cabin, adding to an overall sense of space.  

Targa 48 GT

With a sociable main deck with a helm station with twin pilot seats, the Targa 48 GT features an electric, hard-top roof, coupled with panelled glazing, plenty of natural light and IPS engines.

Fairline will launch two much awaited new boats in Spring 2019, the F-Line 33 and Squadron 64 – both of which have been designed by Alberto Mancini.

Fairline’s dealers from all over the world will be represented at Boot Dusseldorf on the Fairline stand, together with key personnel from Fairline’s design and manufacturing teams, to provide visitors with in-depth information about the company and its boats going into the 2019/2020 season.

The final Fairline Squadron 78 left the yard in Oundle, Northamptonshire on 28 March. The British boatbuilder has been manufacturing the model since 2002 and this will be the manufacturer’s 115th Squadron 78.

The flybridge yacht has finished its series production run to make way for an even larger new flagship Fairline model. Details of the new flagship, which will be built at Fairline’s new production facility in Hythe, Southampton, will be released in the coming months.

The YBW team brings you a round up of the best new launches at the Southampton Boat Show 2016.

Princess Yachts

Highlights from the Plymouth-based luxury yacht builder included show debuts of four of their 2016 models – the Princess 75, the Princess V58 Deck Saloon, the Princess 49 and the 30M.

Princess 49

Attracting masses of attention, the Princess 49 created quite a stir  – it is the first Princess Flybridge yacht with the latest twin Volvo IPS-550 pod drive system.

The vessel has a top speed of 35 knots and the new drive system promises ease of handling.

30M

The Princess 30M was launched in January at Boot Dusseldorf

One of the largest yachts on display, the 30M is the latest addition to the Princess M Class range.

Billed as one of the most luxurious raised pilothouse yachts in the world, 30M is elegant and sleek. It was first unveiled at Boot Dusseldorf in January.

Making its Southampton debut, the Princess 75 promises a perfect combination of agile cruising and open plan elegance – and it certainly lived up to its billing.

Its chic exterior was accentuated with its use of a sophisticated, neutral palette highlighted with accent colours.

With three en-suite guest cabins plus master, a top speed of up to 35 knots, and plenty, it is easy to see why this motor yacht would be ideal for entertaining.

Princess V58 Deck Saloon

This striking craft is the latest addition to the V Class range.

Its flexibility makes it a desirable motor yacht: enclosed, it can be climate controlled or in fair weather, the triple sliding aft doors and a retractable sunroof can be opened.

Below, it is also light and airy, thanks to the large, dynamic hull windows.

A fantastic all rounder  – the new Oyster 675 has a more powerful rig plan for faster passages, but still offers comfort.

It is also incredible practical, with foredeck stowage for the tender and a step-down sunbathing platform.

Its lower profile and stretched deck saloon window gives it a sporty feel.

The 675 is also roomy, with two spacious double guest cabins complementing the full beam master suite and a fourth cabin for crew.

Ideal for sailing with family, for occasional charter, or for long distance exploring and adventure.

Sunseeker

Sunseeker 95

As spacious and stylish as its sister yacht, the Sunseeker 28 Metre Yacht, the 95 has superyacht class.

Its raised pilot house means there is a lot more space on the main deck than you would normally expect from a motor yacht of this size.

It’s also a great choice for entertaining, with bar, optional hot tub and plenty of seating for guests – certainly one for those who have plenty of friends and family to entertain!

Predator 68 MK II

A great choice for sport yacht lovers! We loved its sleek lines and its flexibility, with its sliding sunroof and patio doors.

It oozed luxury at every turn, with its vast sun pad, chic interiors and hydraulic lifting platform to assist in the launching of a tender or jet ski.

Manhattan 52

It might be Sunseeker’s smallest flybridge model, but nothing has been overlooked.

The great use of curved glass emphasised its sleek lines.

There is plenty of space too – with convertible helm seating and bi-fold saloon doors which really opens out the available space.

The bathing platform and transom area definitely caught our eye as it can be converted into a mini beach club.

Fairline Yachts

Targa 53 OPEN

This sporty new cruiser is ideal for those who want freedom and fun on the water.

There is plenty of space both above and below deck for entertaining – with generous U-shaped cockpit seating, a wet bar and a large sunpad above the tender garage.

This stylish design also makes the maximum use of natural light – with stunning tapered hull glazing.

A must for those who love British-built motor yachts and who have a large circle of friends and family!

Squadron 65 HardTop

The addition of a factory fitted hardtop on the Squadron 65 makes it even more desirable – providing extra sun shade for guests and adjustable mood lighting for evening entertaining.

Inside, it is sumptuous, with plenty of attention to detail.

There is an updated galley layout, which features stone inlays and leather tile detailing.

The huge flybridge also provides ample space with three distinct social areas – a forward cruising chaise longue and sunpad, aft facing sunbeds and a seating/dining area.

Guest can relax, surrounded by luxury.

Ancasta

Prestige 560

The Prestige 560 is 18.22 metres long

One of the UK’s biggest yacht brokers, Ancasta, has unveiled the the largest model in the Prestige Flybridge collection – the Prestige 560.

This new Prestige features the original shape of the Prestige 550, yet offers additional advantages.

Her new swim platform is elongated and affords the same easy access developed for the Yachts range, with an automatically deploying staircase. Her interior has been modified, as well. Luxurious and bright, the layout of the Prestige 560 offers even greater comfort and more clever design features.

The Prestige 560 is equipped with 2 Cummins Zeus pods with integrated flaps.

She will also be available in Sportfly version.

The stunning Spirit 47CR represents some of the best of British boatbuilding.

Traditionally handcrafted, the 47-foot cruising yacht oozes quality and heritage. And really, this isn’t a surprise considering Spirit brought us the 54-foot Soufrière of James Bond fame.

The countdown for this year’s Southampton Boat show has started!
Sunseeker, Spirit Yachts, Ancasta, Beneteau, Jeanneau and Fairline Yachts are just some of the brands showcasing their yachts.

Following unprecedented demand from exhibitors for undercover space, a new show layout has been revealed for 2016.

Ocean Hall and Windward Hall will be merged with an additional 550 square metres of space added to create a new look Ocean Hall for 2016.

Enhancements to the layout will also see Beneteau and Jeanneau move from their historical space on the land to a much bigger display on the marina.

Sunseeker International will showcase its 95 Yacht at this year’s Southampton Boat Show.

The 95 Yacht is as spacious and striking as its successful sister, the 28 Metre Yacht  and it combines a superyacht feel with all the practical advantages of a yacht in this size category.

A standout feature is its unique main deck layout with a special master cabin triplex configuration for even greater flexibility and space from a class above. With the luxurious master stateroom berth on the main deck, a forward staircase leads to a mid-level dressing area and sumptuous en-suite.

The raised pilot house offers greater flexibility contributing to the more expansive main deck layout, remarkable for this size of yacht. Above deck, the spacious flybridge is well equipped with a second helm, bar, optional hot tub and plenty of seating for guests to be entertained in style. As with all Sunseeker’s new models in 2016, the 95 Yacht is based on the classic deep V hull with performance at its heart.

Sunseeker will also be unveiling the new Predator 68 MK II, which includes a re-styled interior and modified exterior lines whilst still representing the iconic features of its predecessor.

The redesigned Predator 68 MK II is built with sport yacht lovers’ desires and needs in mind and affords the owner the option to choose whether the yacht is transformed into an ‘open’ yacht in warmer regions or a ‘closed’ yacht in cooler climates. The engineered cockpit door mechanism allows it to open conventionally but, also lower itself into the sole of the yacht. The patio door offers uninterrupted views, creating a seamless inside/outside entertaining area from the forward helm right through to the bathing platform. Embodying all that is chic about its predecessor, the new Predator 68 MK II features a full width sliding sunroof that also helps to bring the outside in.

The spacious saloon includes a sumptuous U-shaped seating area, bar and social seating area at the stern, whilst the exterior features a sunbed on the foredeck.

The yacht accommodates up to six guests in a three cabin arrangement.
Below deck from the saloon, there are three spacious en-suite cabins, comprising of an aft Master, starboard Twin and forward VIP, all equipped with individually controllable audio/video entertainment systems.

Behind the 68 MK II transom, directly below the vast sun pad, the tender garage provides the space to house a tender or jet ski with a hydraulic lifting platform to make launching effortless.

The yacht is powered by MAN V8 1,200 horsepower engines to comfortably cruise at 24 knots with a cruising range of 300 nautical miles. Alternatively, with the newly offered MAN V12 1,550 engines, available with Shaft or Arneson Surface Drives, owners can reach incredible speeds of up to 43 knots.

The new Spirit 47CR cruising yacht will get its world debut at the Southampton Boat Show.

It has been crafted by boat builders at Spirit Yachts, the creator of the stunning 54-foot 007 yacht, Spirit, which featured in the Bond film Casino Royale.

The company, which is based at Ipswich Haven Marina in Suffolk, has just announced it is expanding due to an upturn in orders.

The 47CR will be the first yacht to be launched from Spirit’s new cruising range.

It has also just been shortlisted in the Special Yacht category in the European Yacht of the Year awards.

It will be unveiled for the first time at Southampton’s purpose built marina in berth M315.

The 47-foot Spirit 47CR was built using wood/epoxy construction and features modern fittings and deck hardware, including carbon spars and rigging.

The design has more volume for cruising or live aboard and, as with all Spirit Yachts, the 47CR boasts an impressive power to weight ratio offering the option for competitive racing.

Spirit Yachts CEO and head designer, Sean McMillan, commented: “Increasingly we are seeing prospective owners looking to experience extended holidays or live aboard in the Mediterranean or Caribbean, and the 47CR is the ideal yacht for this lifestyle.”

The interior of the 47CR is bathed in natural light, which is enhanced by the warmth of the wood joinery on display on the inside of the hull.

An owner’s suite forward includes a king-sized bed, accompanied by an en-suite comprising a toilet and shower with overhead hatch for natural light and ventilation.

Plentiful hanging space alongside multiple cupboards and drawers add to this already spacious cabin.

Guests are made to feel at home in the aft double cabin with queen-sized bed.

This is complemented by a separate bathroom with shower, basin and toilet, ample storage and hanging space, as well as an overhead skylight for natural light and ventilation.

Entertaining is at the heart of the 47CR with a large saloon and a handcrafted wooden dining table with seating for six diners.

To the starboard side, a second sofa offers additional relaxation space.

The saloon provides open plan access to a galley equipped for all levels of entertaining, whether it be a more formal three course dinner for guests or a relaxed meal for two.

Galley equipment includes a 100-litre front opening fridge, a three burner gas cooker with grill and oven below, double sink with mixer tap, and tailor-made stowage for cutlery, crockery and utensils.

To the starboard side of the companionway is a large, forward facing navigation table with a single navigator’s berth behind.

There is also stowage for Almanac, pilot books, charts and instrumentation.

A porthole in the overhead coachroof provides natural light and ventilation as well as direct communication with the helm position on deck.

Above deck, wide cockpit combing provides comfortable seating and an alfresco dining area.

A spacious aft deck provides plenty of room for sun-bathing with a deck shower and stainless steel boarding ladder or optional fold down transom to make a bathing platform.

Complete with carbon fibre mast and boom with Nitronic rod rigging, the Spirit 47CR is well equipped for performance sailing.

Handling is smooth with a 42” mahogany and stainless steel wheel fitted with steering brake and a single lever throttle.

A gear change lever is situated within easy reach of the helm position.

Helm instruments are fitted to the client’s requirements.

Anchoring is facilitated by a Lewmar vertical windlass complete with remote deployment and stowage from the helm and foredeck.

In addition to storage lockers in the cockpit, a large lazarette with two separate lockers offers additional stowage and simple access for a stowed dinghy and all cruising equipment.

Spirit Yachts’ managing director, Nigel Stuart, will be available throughout the Southampton Boat Show to discuss details of the new model as well as Spirit’s extensive portfolio of sail and power yachts.

“The launch of the new 47CR represents an exciting new proposition; beauty, style, performance and now volume,” he said.

“She is British built by some of the world’s finest boat builders and oozes quality on every level,” stated Stuart.

Also on display at this year’s Southampton Boat Show in berth M313 will be Spirit Yachts’ P40 power boat.

The 10-day show runs from 16-25 September 2016.

The new Manhattan 52 will get its UK debut at this year’s Southampton Boat Show.

It is Sunseeker International’s smallest flybridge model, and is designed to maximise entertainment options, light and living space.

Its hull incorporates unparalleled amounts of curved glass to emphasise its sleek lines as well as bringing the outside in.

The 52 will set the design direction for a new wave of Manhattan models that will be introduced over the coming years.

There is a generous saloon and upper aft galley, as well as social seating at the helm.

There is a well-equipped bathing platform and transom area that can be converted into a mini beach club – a unique and unrivalled feature for a boat in this class.

This area offers an inviting space for family and friends to enjoy the optional built-in barbecue, overhead shower and fold down transom seating.

The hinged glass cockpit/galley window opens upwards and outwards, and there are bi-fold saloon doors which create an inside/outside environment.

The convertible helm seating area is another new feature, designed to enhance life onboard as it allows owners to fold the seats forward to provide an incredibly large saloon seating area.

Below, there are three large cabins, with a master cabin with full height headroom all the way around the bed.

Interior fabric and décor selections remain peerless, delivering a quality that is unprecedented; a reputation that is unmatched.

The Manhattan 52 can cruise comfortably at 24 knots, with a cruising range of 250 nautical miles. A full throttle it reaches 33 knots.

Owners have a choice of Volvo Penta D11-725 engines on shaft drive or Volvo Penta IPS-950.

Sunseeker will be showcasing its full range at the Southampton Boat Show, which takes place on 16-25 September.

Now in its 48th year, the Southampton Boat Show will return to Mayflower Park on 16-25 September 2016.

The 10-day event will showcase thousands of boats, brands and equipment and will feature the very latest world launches from powerboats to sail.

Confirmed for a world launch at the show are the Oyster 675, the Greenline 36, the Spirit 47CR, the Cormate Utility 23 R and the X4 and X6 from X-Yachts.

The Antares 7 and Antares 8, Atlantis 43, Azimut 55S, Elling E6 from Q Marine (Poole), J/11S from Key Yachting, the Dehler 34, Fairline Yachts’ Targa 53 OPEN and its Squadron 65 HardTop and Charles Watson’s RM 1270 will have UK debuts.

New brands already confirmed for this year’s show include Cormate and Waterspoor.

Following unprecedented demand from exhibitors for undercover space, a new show layout will also be revealed for 2016.

In total, Beneteau will be bringing 19 boats and Jeanneau 22 boats across their sail and power ranges.

Also exhibiting for the first time will be Monte Carlo Yachts who will be showcasing the MCY 65.

There will also be plenty of opportunities for visitors to get out on the water and experience dinghy sailing, power boating or taking a ride on a RIB.

These free attractions include:

• On the Water’s “Get Afloat”, supported by the team at Rockley: a tailor made attraction offering visitors aged 8-16 the chance to discover dinghy sailing and Stand up Paddleboarding (SUP);
•  “Try-a-Boat” sessions from On the Water to allow visitors to experience being out on the water on a varied selection of vessels;
• “Wet Wheels”, a 9m Cheetah Catamaran that has been specially adapted for wheelchair access. Powered by two of Suzuki’s flagship V6 300hp outboard engines, it is capable of driving at 40 knots;
• The magnificent Artemis tall ship will be taking centre stage on the marina, with visitors being able to climb aboard.

Other attractions will include:

• Bumper Boats in the arena for the younger visitors;
• A number of spectacular air display’s over the marina;
• A festival stage in Solent Park with live music, talks from industry experts and fashion shows across the 10-day event;
• The Global Challenge Sailing Experience on a 72ft round the world ocean race yacht;
• The VIP Platinum Experience which includes a trip out on a luxury motor yacht.

To date, sales are 150% ahead of this time last year for the famous event, which takes place from 16-25 September at Mayflower Park.

The latest addition to the Fairline Yachts family, the Targa 53 OPEN has been designed to maximise natural light, adding brightness to the spacious master cabin, galley and saloon below. 

The cockpit boasts a large three person sun bed over the tender garage, generous ‘U’ shaped cockpit seating with a wet bar opposite and roomy companion seating across from the helm.

Owners can choose between a two or three cabin configuration, according to their needs.

The Targa 53 OPEN offers a choice of three shaft driven engine options: two from Volvo and one from Caterpillar, offering a minimum fully loaded speed in excess of 30 knots and a range of at least 300 nautical miles is expected. There will also be the option to add stabilisation, with a choice of either fin or gyroscopic stabilisers.

The  Targa 53 OPEN will debut at the Cannes Boat Show, France on Tuesday 6 September 2016 and it will premiere in the UK at the Southampton Boat Show on Friday 16 September 2016.

Fairline Yachts has rolled out the production of their first luxury boat since being bought out of administration by two Russian investors in January.

The luxury boat builders kicked off production of their new Targa 48 GT yacht at Oundle this morning, Thursday 4 March.

The Targa 48 GT costs £500,000 and will be ready in spring/summer 2016.

Fairline Yachts’ managing director, Russell Currie, said: “We are delighted to announce that this Thursday sees the first boat to roll off our production line since our purchase of Fairline Boats from administration at the end of January. This is a significant occasion and one we want to celebrate.

“We are delivering on our promise to complete all orders for boats received by the previous owners, a sign of our commitment to our loyal customer base and dealer network.”.

Mr Currie added: “We are building a great future for Fairline Yachts and are 100 per cent focused on creating the highest quality luxury motor yachts that boaters want to own and our dealerships around the world want to sell.”

Fairline Boats was bought by Wessex Bristol last September but went into administration in December.

At the end of January it was announced that the luxury boat builders had been bought out by Russian investors Alexander Volvo and Igor Glyanenko and renamed Fairline Yachts.

Fairline is making its official public comeback in Miami this weekend, with local broker G Marine representing the brand for the first time since it came out of administration.

A Fairline Targa 53GT and Targa 48 Open will be on display throughout the Yachts Miami Beach Show, one of America’s biggest boat shows which opened today and runs until Monday (February 15).

Miles Moorhouse, marketing manager at Fairline Yachts, said: “South Florida is among the largest leisure boat markets and we are keen to continue the long-term relationship with G Marine in Miami.

“G Marine is one of the crown jewels,” he added. “We appreciate the company’s experience and input as we are focused on developing new and exciting models.”

This is the first boat show appearance for new company Fairline Yachts, which was founded by Russian investors Alexander Volov and Igor Glyanenko when they bought the Oundle yard out of administration last month in a deal believed to be worth £4.5m.

The new owners were quick to name Russell Currie, director of brokerage firm Fairline North Mallorca, as the managing director of Fairline Yachts.

Fairline has recently confirmed plans for its UK comeback, with appearances scheduled for the London On-Water Boat Show and British Motor Yacht Show in May.

Assets of Fairline Boats have been bought out of administration for an undisclosed sum by UK-based Alexander Volov and Igor Glyanenko, two Russian investors with marine, IT, media, technology experience and a passion for boats.

The new company has been renamed Fairline Yachts and will be overseen by Managing Director Russell Currie.

With nearly 30 years directly relevant experience, Currie has a very strong background in the luxury motor yacht industry. A Fairline dealer since 1998, Russell is CEO of Fairline North Mallorca, where he has achieved over £90million of sales. Prior to his role at Fairline North Mallorca, Russell was Engineering Director at Sunseeker International’s factory team based at Mallorca, and was Chief Test Engineer at Princess Yachts International before that. The appointment of Russell ensures continuity of senior management at Fairline Yachts and safeguards close customer and boat dealer relations under the new ownership structure.

“I am delighted to have been appointed Managing Director for Fairline Yachts.”, said Russell Currie. “With the resources of the investors, coupled with the expert knowledge of the management team and our energy and passion for the brand, the structure is in place for a great future for Fairline Yachts. We will focus on creating high quality luxury motor yachts that boaters will want to own and dealers will want to sell.

“As a sign of our commitment to Fairline Yachts’ loyal customer base and dealer network, we will be completing all orders for boats received by Fairline Boats, including those that have not yet started being built as well as those that are already in production.”

Failine Yachts will keep its base in Oundle, Northamptonshire, where its manufacturing facilities are located. The company has invited former employees to apply for the 100 jobs that will be immediately available.

After it was announced last week that Fairline had gone into administration, it’s been revealed that the administrators have kept only 69 staff out of 450 Fairline employees.
The rest were told last Wednesday that it would be their last day, leaving 381 people without a job.

The 69 remaining staff will keep the business running and complete existing orders.

Fairline Boats have gone into administration and Geoff Rowley and Alastair Massey of FRP Advisory LLP, the restructuring and business advisory firm, were appointed joint administrators to Fairline Boats Limited on 2nd December 2015.

Luxury boat manufacturers Fairline were acquired by Wessex Bristol in September and recently announced that they had to layoff nearly a quarter of their staff temporarily.
Prior to entering administration the company employed around 450 staff across its operations with the vast majority being divided between its Oundle and Corby factory sites in Northamptonshire.

It is anticipated that there will be redundancies in the near term although the joint administrators will retain a core team of workers to help trade the business, service existing orders and liaise with customers, suppliers and boat dealers.

A further update will be provided by the joint administrators at FRP Advisory once they have completed an urgent review of the company’s financial position in order to make a more detailed assessment of the company’s longer term viability in its present form, the business and ongoing staffing needs.

UK-based Fairline Boats has warned of further cuts just weeks after the company announced a temporary layoff of nearly a quarter of its staff.

The company – with bases at Oundle and Corby, near Peterborough – has begun a consultation period with staff about the likelihood of redundancies as it seeks to staunch its financial losses.

Wessex Bristol Investments from Better Capital bought the 52-year old boat builder in late September, and have brought in corporate turnaround specialists KSA Group to aid the ailing company in a restructure.

Part of the restructure will include a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), which, if agreed by creditors, will allow the company to restructure its debt.

The group issued a statement yesterday, saying: “Since last month’s acquisition of Fairline Boats Limited, Britain’s leading luxury yacht manufacturer, new owners Wessex Bristol Investments have taken significant steps in moving the company back towards profitability.

“The company has made a recent announcement regarding a workforce restructure, which has involved the business entering into a collective consultation period with staff.

“This will enable Fairline to right-size its operations to better reflect the marketplace environment, thereby permitting the business to operate efficiently.”

It was announced two days ago that the boat manufacturer been acquired by luxury brand operator Wessex Bristol for an undisclosed sum from Better Capital PPC, who had owned the firm for four years.

Now the company’s new chief executive, Ayiaz Ahmed, has said that some staff will have to be laid off for four weeks while the owners tackle short-term problems.

He said: “To address the immediate short-term issues, we have made the regrettable yet unavoidable decision to instigate a temporary layoff of a number of staff for a period of four weeks as we continue to assess the business.

“This is no way an indication of the long term vision for Fairline but an unfortunate unintended consequence of the current business climate.”

It’s believed that at least 100 members of staff have been temporarily laid-off.

Mr Ahmed added: “The leadership team here at Fairline and the Wessex Bristol family are firmly and wholeheartedly committed to the long term success of the business and very much look forward to building a secure and exciting future for this great British brand.

“We will share with our loyal customers, employees, suppliers and supporters the future development plans for Fairline in due course.

He continued: “Wessex Bristol is delighted with the acquisition of Fairline and we look forward to building a prosperous, long term future together.

“I have been overwhelmed at the wave of support and encouragement received from colleagues, the media and the broader business community.

“My first priority now as chief executive is to examine all aspects relating to the short and long term strategy of this famous British boat manufacturer.

“The Targa 53GT was launched at the 2015 Southampton Boat Show where it received excellent reviews.

“This along with the recent acquisition makes for a very exciting time at Fairline.”

Fairline Boats, which was founded 52 years ago, has been acquired by the luxury brands operator Wessex Bristol.

The manufacturer, which employs several hundred staff, was previously owned by Better Capital PPC, after buying the company four years ago.

Ayiaz Ahmed, chief executive of Wessex Bristol, said: “We are excited to be adding Fairline to our brand portfolio, building on our successes in the luxury boat market with our iconic Fletcher brand.

“Fairline is a leading global luxury yacht brand and has just launched its new Targa 53GT model, which was very well received at the recent Southampton Boat Show.

Mr Dady will depart immediately to continue his role as operating partner at Better Capital.
